PawSafi helps eligible pet owners manage the cost of veterinary treatment through Accident and Comprehensive pet insurance. By working with trusted veterinary practices, we aim to support confident treatment decisions while keeping veterinary professionals focused on what they do best: caring for animals.
PawSafi was developed with input from Kenyan veterinary professionals so that the programme reflects the practical realities of companion animal healthcare in Kenya.

We partner only with clinics we know and trust. Before a clinic can accept PawSafi insured pets, we complete a due diligence review. This protects pets and pet parents, and it reassures our partners that everyone in the network meets consistent standards of care.
After you have submitted your application, our team verifies the details you provide: clinic identity and contacts, your veterinarians’ licences, diagnostic capabilities, and professional memberships. This check confirms we’re working with qualified professionals who align with PawSafi’s values of care, professionalism, and transparency.
For pet owners, this means clinics in the PawSafi network have been vetted for quality and accountability. For clinics, it means joining a trusted community with clear standards and support.

Onboarding Checklist
Before you start your application, please have the following information ready.
What you’ll need
- Clinic details, including postal address (if different)
- Primary contact details
- Veterinarian team list (for each vet: full name and license number).
- Diagnostic equipment you have (X-ray, Ultrasound, In-house Lab, Endoscopy, Other)
- Professional associations membership (KVMA, KVB, ISVPS, Other)
- Scanned copies of veterinarians’ license certificates
- Your Treatment pricing list.

Simply complete the Clinic Onboarding Form on our website.
Once submitted, our team will review your application and get in touch to complete verification.
Most clinics are approved and onboarded within 3–5 working days, provided all required information is submitted.
You'll need to provide:
Basic clinic details (location, contact info, registration number)
Name of the lead veterinary surgeon
A copy of your valid operating licence
Details of your team and services

Yes. Once your clinic is approved, you’ll sign a Partner Agreement that outlines service expectations, billing procedures, and data protection compliance.
For approved claims, PawSafi will pay your clinic directly, subject to the policy’s limits. Payments are processed weekly upon claim approval.
We provide access to a simple Vet Claims Portal, where you can upload clinical notes, invoices, and other required documents.
You’ll receive training and support to help streamline the process.
No. Joining the Vet Partner Program is completely free. We are selective about our partners, but there is no fee to apply, be listed, or process claims.
